Job Purpose:
        Sterilizing Services Unit has a commitment in delivering excellent quality service and engendering towards best practices.
Job Responsibilities:
² Transport of unsterile items from the OT’s and other units to the CSSD department.
² Responsible for receipt of non-sterile items washing and cleaning.
² Involved in preliminary investigation of the equipment's / instruments and recording the same in the register.
² Preparation and Packaging for sterilization equipment.
² Cleaning equipment & machines .
² Care and handling of chemicals.
² Tracking and recall of equipment and items.
Candidate Requirements:
² Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
² Team player and flexible.
² Sound organizational skills and capable of prioritizing work and exercising discretion within established polices guidelines and procedures.
² Demonstrated ongoing education and clinical development.
² Able to work either individually or in a team.
² Responsible for work performed with a high degree level of accountability.
² Able to work within SSU routines, methods and procedures as required.
² Willing to participate in on the job training and/or specific skills training as required.
² Ability to use computerized information systems and willingness to teach others.
