Associate Consultant
Clinical Responsibilities
- Verify the appropriateness of all requested investigations.
- Perform procedures as per established guidelines (in the capacity of Radiation Safety Officer – RSO).
- Prioritize and sequence examinations based on clinical urgency.
- Interpret diagnostic images and supervise all related activities.
- Discuss with referring physicians regarding the appropriateness and selection of investigations.
- Report all radiological examinations and promptly communicate critical findings to the referring clinician.
- Supervise DNB students and review/report transcription for accuracy.
- Assist and support the Head of Department (HOD) and consultants in administrative, academic, and clinical problem-solving.
- Undertake special assignments as directed by the HOD to support the institution’s vision and mission.
- Maintain and promote a cordial and collaborative working environment among colleagues.
Research Responsibilities
- Conduct medical research aimed at disease control, treatment advancement, and development of new medical techniques and medications.
- Serve as a thesis guide for fellows, residents, and PhD candidates.
Teaching Responsibilities
- Actively participate in ongoing teaching and academic activities.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and conferences at local, regional, and national levels.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise the work of nurses, medical technicians, and other healthcare staff.
- Educate students and staff on Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures, potential complications, and emergency management protocols.
