Deputy Manager- Finance Controller

Role Objective

The Finance Controller is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of financial integrity and reporting accuracy. This role focuses on maintaining General Ledger (GL) hygiene, overseeing statutory compliance, and providing strategic data support for executive leadership and investor relations.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & GL Management

  • Financial Statements: Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements in strict accordance with IND AS.

  • GL Integrity: Maintain comprehensive GL Hygiene at the group level to ensure data accuracy.

  • Month-End Closing: Lead the monthly book-closing process and conduct thorough reviews of audit schedules.

  • Reporting Cycles: Ensure the timely completion of all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements across various entities.

Audit, Tax & Compliance

  • Statutory Audit: Coordinate and drive the successful closure of Statutory Audits.

  • Internal Controls: Update IFC (Internal Financial Control) processes regularly and provide full support for annual IFC audits.

  • Taxation: Apply expert knowledge of Income Tax and GST as they relate to financial reporting.

  • Secretarial Alignment: Collaborate with the Secretarial team for audit and compliance-related activities.

Strategic Support & Innovation

  • Executive Support: Provide regular data and explanations to the MIS team for Board Decks and to the Investor Relations team for stakeholder presentations.

  • Technology Leadership: Drive finance-related technology initiatives and digital transformations.

  • Relationship Management: Utilize facilitation and negotiation skills to resolve conflicts and build collaborative, "win-win" relationships with cross-functional teams.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.

  • Experience: 2–4 years of post-qualification experience in finance controllership or a similar role.

Functional & Behavioural Competencies

  • Technical Expertise: Practical knowledge of GL Hygiene, IND AS, and MS Office Suite (Expert-level Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Mindset: An "out-of-the-box" thinker with a results-driven approach; a commitment to challenging the status quo for continuous improvement.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal command of English and Hindi. Knowledge of regional languages is an added advantage.

  • External: Statutory Auditors, Tax Consultants, and Vendors.
