Junior Resident
Key Responsibilities

Conduct psychological assessments of cancer patients to evaluate emotional, cognitive, and behavioral functioning.

Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy to patients and caregivers throughout the cancer care continuum (diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, palliative care).

Develop and implement tailored psychological treatment plans that address distress, anxiety, depression, body image issues, and adjustment difficulties.

Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, social workers, and palliative care teams to integrate psychological support into the overall treatment plan.

Offer crisis intervention and grief counseling when needed.

Participate in case conferences, multidisciplinary rounds, and care planning meetings.

Design and deliver psycho-educational programs for patients, families, and staff.

Contribute to research, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice in psycho-oncology.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with ethical and institutional standards.
