Role Objective
The Legal Manager will be a key pillar in the corporate legal department, overseeing the entire contract lifecycle, managing high-stakes real estate transactions, and providing strategic legal counsel to the business. This role requires a blend of meticulous drafting skills, sharp negotiation abilities, and a proactive approach to legal operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Contract Lifecycle & Dashboard Management

End-to-End Oversight: Lead the contract management lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements (Service Agreements, NDAs, MoUs, Procurement Contracts, etc.).

Execution & Compliance: Facilitate the end-to-end execution process, ensuring all legal and internal compliance requirements are met.

Data Reporting: Maintain and update a comprehensive Management Dashboard on a weekly basis to track the status of executed contracts, renewals, and pending litigations.
2. Real Estate & Property Law

Due Diligence: Conduct thorough legal due diligence and title verifications for real estate acquisitions and leasehold transactions.

Transaction Documentation: Actively draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including Sale Deeds, Lease Deeds, and Development Agreements.
3. Corporate Advisory & Legal Research

Legal Counseling: Provide day-to-day counsel on corporate and business law matters to internal stakeholders.

Strategic Research: Conduct in-depth research to provide legal opinions on complex regulatory issues, ensuring all advice is grounded in current statutes.
4. Knowledge Management & Repository

Statutory Updates: Create and curate a centralized repository of the latest legislations, government notifications, and court precedents that impact the healthcare industry and NH’s operations.

Risk Mitigation: Analyze recent judgments to proactively identify potential legal risks for the organization.
5. Process Improvement & Training

Operational Excellence: Lead initiatives to standardize legal practices across the department.

Training: Design and execute legal awareness training for other departments to ensure better compliance and understanding of contract processes.

Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and implement process improvements within the legal department to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor of Laws (LLB); Master of Laws (LLM) is an added advantage.

Experience: Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience in a corporate legal setup or a reputed law firm.

Expertise: Deep understanding of the Indian Contract Act, Transfer of Property Act, and Corporate Laws.

Proficiency in Excel and legal tech tools for dashboard management.
