Role Purpose
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior MEP Engineer to lead the Public Health Engineering (PHE), Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems for our hospital projects across India. This role is responsible for the entire project lifecyclefrom design validation and statutory compliance to site execution, quality control, and final commissioning.

Candidate Requirements
  • Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
  • Experience: Minimum 12+ years of progressive experience, with at least 5 years specifically in large-scale Hospital projects in India.
  • Technical Proficiency: * In-depth knowledge of International and National Plumbing Codes.
  • Expertise in Hydraulic Calculations for both plumbing and firefighting systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of fire safety standards (NBC, NFPA, and local State Fire Service regulations).
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM, along with standard MS Office applications.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Proven track record in securing pre- and post-construction approvals for PHE and Fire-related works.
Key Responsibilities
I. Design, Planning & Technical Review
  • Design Validation: Review and validate detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for water supply (WTP), drainage, sewage (STP), storm-water, and specialized hospital waste management systems.
  • Specialized Systems: Manage Hot Water, Drinking/Medical RO distribution, and specialized fire suppression systems for sensitive medical equipment.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs and materials strictly adhere to NBC, state regulations, and international safety standards.
  • Technical Liaison: Act as the primary coordinator between architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines to optimize system routing and resolve site conflicts.
II. Site Execution & Project Management
  • Installation Oversight: Supervise the installation of all infrastructure, including risers, distribution networks, and underground/above-ground piping.
  • QA/QC & Safety: Implement rigorous Quality Assurance protocols and hydrostatic testing. Ensure all execution follows strict healthcare safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Contractor Management: Monitor contractor progress against schedules, certify bills based on verified work, and manage the system budget to minimize variations.
III. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
  • System Testing: Oversee pressure testing for water/gas lines and performance audits for pumps, WTP, and STP.
  • Fire System Sign-off: Lead integrated testing for fire pumps, sprinklers, hydrants, and alarm panels to ensure successful certification by relevant Fire Authorities.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project records, including As-Built drawings, O&M manuals, and final testing reports for a seamless handover to the operations team.
