Role Purpose

The Manager – R2R will lead the financial accounting and reporting functions to ensure the highest standards of financial integrity. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end General Ledger (GL) processes, month-end and year-end closures, and the delivery of accurate financial statements in compliance with Ind AS and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Governance & Reporting

  • Oversee the end-to-end Record-to-Report lifecycle for multiple hospital units.

  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing of books.

  • Prepare and review Consolidated Financial Statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

  • Ensure strict compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and Group Accounting Policies.

2. General Ledger & Fixed Assets

  • Review and approve complex journal entries, accruals, and inter-company reconciliations.

  • Oversee the Fixed Asset Register (FAR), including capitalization, depreciation, and physical verification protocols.

  • Manage balance sheet substantiation and ensure all open items are resolved within the stipulated Turnaround Time (TAT).

3. Audit & Statutory Compliance

  • Lead and facilitate Statutory Audits, Internal Audits, and Tax Audits.

  • Ensure 100% compliance with Internal Financial Controls (IFC) and GST/Taxation requirements related to accounting.

  • Implement corrective actions based on audit observations to strengthen the control environment.

4. Process Transformation & Leadership

  • Drive process improvements and automation within the SAP environment to enhance efficiency.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals.

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for any ERP upgrades or financial system migrations.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in core accounting/R2R, preferably within a Healthcare, Shared Services (SSC), or Multi-unit setup.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Advanced proficiency in SAP FICO (S/4HANA preferred).

    • Expertise in Ind AS and statutory reporting frameworks.

    • Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and complex financial modeling).

  • Behavioral Skills:

    • Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.

    • Analytical mindset with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.

    • Excellent communication skills for interacting with Unit Heads and Senior Leadership.

  • Internal: Unit Finance Heads, Corporate Treasury, Supply Chain (MM), and IT.

  • External: Statutory Auditors (Big 4/Tier-1), Tax Consultants, and Vendors.
