Program Manager - Business Transformation

Position Overview

The Business Analyst - EMR will join the Business Transformation Team to collaborate with Medical Teams in defining and documenting requirements for Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. This role focuses on translating business needs into comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) to support hospital medical operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Engage with Medical Teams to gather, analyze, and document EMR requirements.

  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).

  • Ensure requirements align with hospital medical operations and clinical workflows.

  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to validate requirements with stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with IT and implementation teams to ensure accurate system configuration.

  • Support testing and validation of EMR functionalities to meet business needs.

  • Provide expertise on EMR best practices and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).

  • Strong understanding of hospital medical operations and clinical workflows.

  • Proven experience creating Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).

  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

  • Preferred: Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or EMR systems.
