Job Summary

The Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship Doctor will undergo advanced clinical and surgical training in orthopedic subspecialties under the supervision of experienced consultants. The fellow will participate in patient evaluation, surgical procedures, inpatient and outpatient care, academic activities, and research while progressively developing independent clinical and operative skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients presenting with musculoskeletal disorders and trauma.
  • Assist and progressively perform orthopedic surgical procedures under supervision.
  • Participate in outpatient clinics, inpatient rounds, emergency consultations, and postoperative care.
  • Develop treatment plans based on clinical assessment and diagnostic imaging.
  • Manage fractures, joint disorders, sports injuries, spine conditions, and other orthopedic conditions according to fellowship focus.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case discussions, and morbidity & mortality meetings.
  • Conduct clinical audits, research projects, and publish scientific papers where applicable.
  • Teach and mentor junior residents, interns, and medical students.
  • Participate in departmental academic activities including journal clubs, seminars, and CME programs.
  • Comply with hospital policies, infection control protocols, patient safety standards, and ethical guidelines.
