Senior Manager
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a strategic and technically robust Lead MEP Engineer to spearhead the Public Health Engineering (PHE) and Firefighting systems for our multispecialty hospital projects across India. This role is pivotal in managing the complete lifecycle—from design validation and statutory compliance to high-quality site execution, commissioning, and final handover. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in hospital-specific infrastructure, including medical-grade water systems and specialized fire suppression protocols.
CORE REQUIREMENTS

Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in MEP projects, with at least 5 years dedicated to large-scale Hospital Construction in India.

Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM; proficient in MS Office (Excel/Project).

Technical Mastery (Mandatory):

In-depth command of National and International plumbing codes.

Expertise in Hydraulic Calculations for high-complexity PHE and Firefighting networks.

Comprehensive knowledge of NBC, NFPA, and State Fire Service regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Design Engineering & Technical Review
-
Validation: Review and certify detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for PHE (WTP, STP, drainage, storm-water, and medical liquid waste) and Firefighting systems.

Specialized Systems: Oversee design for Hot Water systems, Drinking/Medical RO distribution, and specialized fire suppression for high-value medical equipment.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and materials strictly adhere to Central/State regulations and NBC standards, ensuring zero-compromise on fire safety.

Inter-disciplinary Synergy: Act as the lead technical liaison between architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines to optimize system routing and avoid service clashes.
II. Site Execution & Project Management

Execution Oversight: Supervise the installation of all plumbing and firefighting infrastructure, ensuring adherence to the approved "Good for Construction" (GFC) drawings.

QA/QC & Safety: Implement stringent Quality Assurance protocols, including hydrostatic testing and leak-prevention audits, while upholding the highest site safety standards.

Project Controls: Monitor contractor progress against milestones, mitigate potential delays, and manage system budgets, including bill certification and variation tracking.

Material Management: Evaluate and approve technical submittals (pumps, pipes, fixtures, and fire components) for quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
III. Testing, Commissioning & Statutory Approval

Systems Integration: Oversee performance testing for pumps, Water Treatment Plants (WTP), and Sewage Treatment Plants (STP).

Statutory Liaisoning: Lead the process for obtaining Pre and Post-construction approvals from relevant government bodies and fire departments.

Final Handover: Conduct integrated testing for the entire firefighting network (sprinklers, hydrants, and alarm panels) and prepare comprehensive documentation, including As-Built drawings and O&M manuals.
