Role – Senior Product Designer
We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Senior Product Designer who can take end-to-end ownership of complex problems, bring a systems-thinking mindset, and translate Medha’s product vision into intuitive, high-quality experiences. This role requires someone who thrives on understanding the “why” behind problems, works closely with cross-functional teams, and is excited to shape the design foundation for a fast-expanding product ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Understanding & Solutioning:
- Develop a deep understanding of Medha’s value proposition, intelligence architecture, and target user segments.
- Participate actively in problem-framing, solution co-design, and defining experience direction with PMs, domain experts, and engineering teams.
- Ask first-principle questions to ensure designs solve the right problem, not just the visible symptoms.
User Discovery & Field Engagement:
- Conduct contextual inquiries, shadowing, hospital visits, and direct user interviews to uncover needs and behaviours.
- Translate insights into workflows, interaction models, and clear experience principles.
- Champion user empathy and evidence-led design within the team.
Design Execution:
- Design clean, intuitive experiences for multi-platform products (Web, Mobile, Dashboards, Internal Tools).
- Create user journeys, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, prototypes, and design documentation with clarity and attention to detail.
- Iterate rapidly based on feedback, constraints, and new information.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Partner closely with product managers and engineers to refine requirements, align on feasibility, and ensure smooth implementation.
- Present design decisions with strong rationale; articulate trade-offs and constraints confidently.
- Drive a collaborative design–engineering–product rhythm that accelerates learning and delivery.
- Mentor and guide junior designers, helping them develop strong design fundamentals, workflows, and craft.
Design Quality & Systems Thinking:
- Contribute to building Medha’s emerging design system—patterns, components, interaction rules, documentation.
- Ensure consistent experience across Medha product lines while allowing flexibility for diverse hospital workflows.
- Advocate for simplicity, clarity, and purposeful design thinking.
Candidate Requirements:
- 5–9 years of experience designing digital products.
- Experience working on enterprise, healthcare, analytics, or workflow-heavy products is a plus.
- A strong portfolio showcasing process, systems thinking, and end-to-end product problem solving.
- Ability to translate complex logic, data flows, and decision-making into simple user experiences.
- Comfortable working with early-stage teams where ambiguity is high and structures evolve with your input.
- Strong skills in Figma; familiarity with tools like Adobe Suite is an advantage.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and storytelling abilities.
- Keen eye for craft—typography, spacing, information hierarchy, micro-interactions.
- Willingness to travel to hospitals and user sites as needed.
Required Education:
- B.Des or M.Des in Interaction Design, Product Design, Communication Design, Information Design, HCI, or equivalent.
