Cognitive Clinical ManagementPerform and document detailed pediatric/neonatal history and physical examination.Formulate differential diagnosis for critically ill pediatric patients.Develop and document initial plan of care for PICU/NICU patients.*Modify and update daily treatment plans based on patient condition.*Write and maintain daily progress notes and clinical documentation.Obtain and document informed consent from parents/guardians.Order appropriate specialty referrals and consultations.*Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and radiological investigations.*Interpret hemodynamic parameters in critically ill children.*Interpret ABG, electrolyte, radiology, and microbiology reports.*Prescribe and monitor blood and blood product transfusions.*Prescribe appropriate medications, fluids, nutrition, and supportive care.*Prepare discharge summaries and follow-up plans.Identify and manage pediatric emergencies and sepsis protocols.Counsel parents/guardians regarding diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis.Clinical Non-Invasive ManagementPerform Pediatric Basic and Advanced Life Support (PBLS/PALS).Perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation in pediatric patients.Manage oxygen therapy and nebulization.Initiate and monitor non-invasive ventilation (CPAP/BiPAP/HFNC).*Monitor ventilator parameters and bedside patient monitoring systems.*Interpret pediatric ECG and non-invasive cardiac assessments.*Assess fluid balance, nutrition, and growth parameters.Order, adjust, and monitor enteral/parenteral nutrition support.*Perform bedside assessment of critically ill pediatric patients.Assist in transport and stabilization of critically ill children.Clinical Invasive ManagementInsert peripheral intravenous cannula.Insert central venous catheter under supervision/independently as per privilege level.Perform oral endotracheal intubation in pediatric patients.Perform nasogastric/orogastric tube insertion.Insert urethral catheter in pediatric patients.Obtain arterial blood samples and arterial line management.*Assist in chest tube insertion and management.*Perform lumbar puncture under appropriate supervision.*Manage mechanical ventilation in critically ill children.*Perform suctioning and airway management procedures.Assist in emergency procedures during code blue situations.
