Job Purpose: |
|
To determine goals, aims, objectives and policies of the Nursing Services, recruit nurses, maintain the discipline and rosters. |
|
Job Responsibilities: |
|
• Maintaining sanitation & cleanliness of the unit. • Receiving & transfer of patients with all safety norms. • Sending sample (post operative) for diagnostic evaluation as per requirement • Providing comfort measures , give pschycological support to the patient • Taking care of elimination • Help & do positioning of the patient for different surgery • Attaining in-service education. • Collect sutures & expensive disposables, instruments & return back the un-used materials after surgery. • Help & do positioning of the patient for different surgery • Lays the instruments for the case before surgery & maintains a count list. • Assist the surgeon during surgery. • Cleaning of instruments, disinfection & packing for sterilization. • Assist scrub nurse during surgery. • Working as a circulating nurse • Assist in recovery room management • Clean & give handover of instruments &other surgical items to CSSD for sterilization. • Observing the patient condition & take prompt action • Keeping surgery record & maintain surgery checklist. Keeping update record • Helping in taking OT inventory both instrument & consumables • Receive sterile item from CSSD to OT. • Check sterile items Expiry & maintain FIFO ( first in & first out) • Prepare disinfection solution, dressings, peanuts, cottontails etc. • Maintain & practice all infection control protocol of operation theatre. |

Candidate Requirements: |
- Verbal Ability/Communication Skill: Ability to comprehend verbal instructions given by the supervisor or head of the department.
- To give accurate and tactful explanations to patients. Problem solving/ Decision-making
- Able to work accurately and with minimal supervision.
- Ability to comprehend written instructions given by the Doctors and the other related departmental personnel.
Affinity to work in team.
