Job Responsibilities

Coordinate orientation programs for new staff members.

Develop and manage education plans for initial and ongoing competency validation.

Design and deliver core education programs addressing patient population–specific nursing care.

Create and coordinate leadership development education for bedside leaders.
-
Prepare, update, and maintain educational materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.
-
Deliver competency-based training programs focused on skill improvement and knowledge retention.
-
Develop evidence-based educational resources to support staff learning.
-
Support staff development through structured educational activities and mentorship.
-
Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and implement improvements.
-
Plan and execute short- and long-term educational initiatives to meet identified needs.
-
Teach clinical content within areas of expertise to support orientation, staff development, and safe practice.
-
Document and report on the effectiveness of staff development initiatives.
-
Incorporate current educational evidence into practice as a staff development expert.
-
Facilitate adult learning by fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment across the health system.
-
Communicate effectively across multiple disciplines to support collaboration.
-
Promote a safe and healthy work environment and serve as a role model for excellence and safety.
-
Maintain required educational and clinical competencies.
-
Identify and pursue opportunities to develop staff in diverse roles.
-
Integrate ethical principles into all aspects of practice.
-
Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
