Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients.
Prescribe, monitor, and optimize psychotropic medications as per clinical protocols.
Provide counseling, psychotherapy, and behavioral interventions where appropriate.
Assess and manage psychiatric emergencies, including suicide risk and crisis situations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records and clinical documentation.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, ethical standards, and statutory regulations.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation activities.
Conduct patient and family education sessions regarding mental health conditions and treatment plans.
Contribute to academic activities, CMEs, case discussions, and training of junior medical staff.
Support community outreach programs and mental health awareness initiatives.
