Job Duties:

  • To greet incoming patients or their representatives and to record complete information required for registration and admission.
  • Handle cash reconcile with books.
  • Update billing daily basis & call patients’ attendant for deposit of outstanding amount.
  • To answer questions and to provide information directly to the person or on the telephone. For e.g. explaining rates, charges, services, discounts (if any) and hospital policy regarding payment of bills.
  • To prepare and maintain itemized statements, bills, or invoices used for billing and record keeping purposes.
  • To explain hospital regulations to patients, concerning visitors and visiting hours.
  • To give accurate and tactful explanations to visitors, patients and hospital’s employees and in recording exact information for messages.
  • To exercise high degree of tact and poise and occasionally overcoming language barriers.
  • To understand and apply knowledge of medical terminology.
  • To understand pertinent details in tabular form and avoid perceptual errors in arithmetic computation.

 

General Responsibilities

  • Works evenings, nights, weekends and holidays according to the schedule compiled by    the head of department.
  • Monitors clinical and other established indicators to ensure ongoing quality assurance.
  • Strictly adheres to organization’s regulations and policies especially those related to infection control, patient safety and JCI.
  • Supports Continuous Quality Improvement and participates and contributes to all the quality assurance activities of the service.
  • Participates and contributes in scheduled in-service training programs like ACLS, BLS, CNEs, CMEs, In house activities, conferences or other programs as requested.
  • Exercises effective interpersonal skills in dealings with department staff, associates, and Management.
  •  Maintains confidentiality as per the agreement signed.
  • Demonstrates the ability to listen to others in promoting effective communication.
  • Develops thorough understanding of policies and procedures of the hospital and Demonstrates respect for them.
  • Carries out other duties when requested by the Head of department.

 

Qualification, License, Education, Experience, Special Skills

 

  • B.Com. from approved University.
  • Ability to work in group across the hospital and as a member of team.
  •  Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of their work with particular reference to the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of his / her patients and adhere to bylaws, rules & regulations of the medical organization.
  • Excellent command of oral & written Hindi & English.

Sound Computer skills including knowledge of MS word & Excel
