General Responsibilities:

 

             ECG

  1. To perform the ECG or Electrocardiogram test by attaching electrodes to a patient and then pulling switches on an ECG machine to trace electrical impulses transmitted by the heart.
  2. To perform the Mammography test.
  3. To prepare the patients and diagnostic equipments for the procedure.
  4. To explain the procedure to the patient before the start of the procedure.
  5. The hand over the reports to the patients.
  6. To participate and contribute to departmental quality initiatives.
  7. To adhere to the safety norms of the hospital and follow both patient safety and staff safety rules.

 

            ECHO

  1. To perform the ECG or Electro Cardiogram test by attaching electrodes to a patient and then pulling switches on an ECG machine to trace electrical impulses transmitted by the heart.
  2. Assisting to perform the Trans Oesophageal Echo (TEE) test and Dobutamine Stress test.
  3. To prepare the patients and diagnostic equipments for the procedure.
  4. To explain the procedure to the patient before the start of the procedure.
  5. To type the reports and handover the reports to the patients.
  6. To participate and contribute to departmental quality initiatives.
  7. To adhere to the safety norms of the hospital and follow both patient safety and staff safety rules.

 

            TREAD MILL TEST

  1. To prepare the patient for treadmill test.
  2. To explain the procedure to the patient before the start of the procedure.
  3. To inform the Doctor in charge before the start of the procedure.
  4. To be present with the patient when asked to run on the belt and the ECG recording at various stages are to read from the computerized graph sheets.
  5. After the test is completed, to send the graph sheets to the cardiologist for reporting.

 

             HOLTER MONITORING

  1. To explain the procedure to the patient before the start of the procedure.
  2. To remove the recorder after 24 hrs and put the cassette in the Analyser.
  3. To make sure that reports are sent to the Cardiologists for reporting at the right time.
  4. The hand over the reports to the patients.
  5. To participate and contribute to departmental quality initiatives.
  6. To adhere to the safety norms of the hospital and follow both patient safety and staff safety rules.
