Consultant
Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic neurological disorders.
Conduct detailed neurological history taking and physical examinations.
Provide specialist consultations for inpatients, outpatients, ICU, and Emergency Department patients.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on current clinical guidelines.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required.
Coordinate multidisciplinary care with other specialties, rehabilitation services, nursing, and allied health professionals.
Ensure continuity of care through appropriate follow-up and discharge planning.
Outpatient Services
Provide evaluation and management for:
Epilepsy and seizure disorders
Parkinson's disease and movement disorders
Headache and migraine disorders
Dementia and Alzheimer's disease
Multiple sclerosis
Peripheral neuropathies
Myopathies
Motor neuron disease
Vertigo and balance disorders
Neuromuscular diseases
Cerebrovascular disorders
Sleep-related neurological disorders
Inpatient and Emergency Care
Manage neurological emergencies including:
Acute stroke
Status epilepticus
Guillain–Barré syndrome
Myasthenic crisis
Encephalitis and meningitis
Acute altered sensorium
Spinal cord compression
Participate in ICU rounds and neurocritical care consultations.
Coordinate care for critically ill neurological patients.
