1. Patient Care

  • Conduct clinical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.

  • Prescribe medications, perform minor procedures, and refer to specialists when necessary.

  • Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.

  • Participate in ward rounds and outpatient clinics.

2. Emergency and Inpatient Services

  • Attend to emergency cases promptly and efficiently.

  • Provide resuscitation and stabilization for critical patients.

  • Manage admissions, discharges, and referrals.

3. Clinical Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

  • Prepare discharge summaries, medical reports, and death certificates as required.

  • Ensure confidentiality of patient information.

4. Public Health and Preventive Care

  • Participate in hospital health programs, vaccination drives, and health education campaigns.

  • Promote preventive medicine and awareness among patients and community members.

5. Teamwork and Collaboration

  • Work closely with nurses, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Participate in departmental meetings, morbidity and mortality reviews, and case discussions.

  • Supervise interns, junior doctors, and support staff as required.

6. Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and ethical guidelines.

  • Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards.

  • Participate in clinical audits and continuous medical education (CME).
