Medical Officer
Clinical Duties
-
Conduct patient consultations, physical examinations, and medical assessments.

Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.

Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (laboratory and imaging).

Develop and implement patient management plans.

Perform minor medical and emergency procedures as required.
2. Patient Care & Management
-
Ensure high standards of patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality.

Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Provide counseling, education, and support to patients and their families.
-
Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records.
3. Emergency & Critical Care
-
Respond promptly to medical emergencies.
-
Stabilize patients and coordinate referrals to specialists when necessary.

Participate in on-call duties or rotation schedules.
4. Coordination & Collaboration
-
Work closely with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
-
Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary meetings.
-
Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare services when appropriate.
5. Administrative Duties
-
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
-
Assist in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and clinical governance activities.

Contribute to training and supervision of junior staff or interns, if applicable.
6. Professional Development
-
Maintain licensure and stay updated with current medical practices and guidelines.
-
Participate in continuing medical education (CME) programs and professional training.
