Medical Officer

Clinical Duties

  • Examine patients, take medical histories, and perform physical examinations

  • Diagnose illnesses and provide appropriate treatment and follow-up care

  • Prescribe medications and interpret diagnostic investigations

  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required

  • Provide care in OPD, IPD, and emergency services as assigned

Emergency & Critical Care

  • Attend medical emergencies and provide immediate care

  • Stabilize patients and coordinate referrals when necessary

  • Perform basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ACLS) as applicable

Patient Care & Communication

  • Explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and procedures to patients and families

  • Obtain informed consent for procedures

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and ethical medical practice

Coordination & Referrals

  • Refer patients to consultants/specialists when indicated

  • Coordinate with nursing staff, technicians, and other departments

  • Participate in ward rounds with senior consultants
