Medical Officer

Examine, diagnose, and treat patients admitted to the hospital or attending outpatient services

Provide emergency medical care and life-saving interventions when required

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary

Prescribe medications and ensure safe administration of drugs

Perform minor medical procedures as per competence and hospital policy
Patient Care & Safety

Maintain accurate and complete medical records and documentation

Ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and informed consent

Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care

Follow infection control protocols and hospital safety standards
Coordination & Communication

Work closely with consultants, specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals

Participate in ward rounds and case discussions

Refer patients to specialists when required
-
Communicate clearly during handovers and shift changes
Administrative & Professional Duties

Comply with hospital policies, protocols, and legal regulations
-
Participate in audits, clinical meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
-
Assist in training junior doctors, interns, or medical students when applicable
-
Stay updated with current medical practices and continuing medical education (CME)
