Medical Officer

1. Patient Care & Clinical Duties

  • Examine, diagnose, and treat patients in OPD, IPD, and emergency units

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (lab tests, X-rays, ECG, etc.)

  • Prescribe medications and therapies

  • Perform minor medical procedures

  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care

  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed

2. Emergency & Critical Care

  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies

  • Stabilize critically ill patients

  • Provide life-saving interventions (CPR, intubation, etc.)

  • Coordinate with specialists and ICU teams

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate patient medical records

  • Prepare discharge summaries and medical certificates

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and legal standards

  • Participate in clinical audits and quality assurance programs

4. Coordination & Teamwork

  • Collaborate with consultants, nurses, and allied health staff

  • Refer patients to specialists when required

  • Participate in ward rounds and case discussions

  • Supervise junior doctors or interns (if applicable)
