Patient Care
- Examine patients, take medical histories, and perform physical assessments
- Diagnose illnesses and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Handle emergency cases and provide urgent medical care
Clinical Duties
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays, etc.)
- Perform minor medical procedures (suturing wounds, injections, etc.)
- Assist in major procedures or surgeries when required
Coordination & Teamwork
- Work closely with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare staff
- Refer patients to consultants or specialists when needed
- Participate in ward rounds and case discussions
Documentation
- Maintain accurate patient records and medical reports
- Ensure all treatments and observations are properly documented
- Follow hospital protocols and legal requirements
Administrative & Compliance Tasks
- Adhere to hospital policies, ethics, and regulatory standards
- Help in managing hospital workflow and patient admissions/discharges
- Participate in audits, training, and quality improvement programs
