Clinical Responsibilities
- Examine patients, take detailed histories, and perform physical examinations
- Assist consultants in diagnosing and managing cases
- Participate in ward rounds, ICU care, and emergency duties
- Perform procedures relevant to their specialty (under supervision initially, then independently)
- Maintain patient records and case sheets accurately
Academic Responsibilities
- Attend and present seminars, journal clubs, and case discussions
- Stay updated with the latest developments in their specialty
- Prepare for DNB theory and practical examinations
- Teach and guide undergraduate students or interns in some settings
Research & Documentation
- Conduct research and submit a thesis/dissertation (mandatory for DNB)
- Collect and analyze clinical data
- Present papers/posters in conferences and publish in journals
