Supervise medical, nursing, and paramedical staff in coordination with respective department heads.

Ensure proper maintenance of hospital infrastructure, facilities, and medical equipment.

Participate in budget planning, cost control, and optimal resource utilization.
2. Clinical Governance and Quality Assurance

Ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Implement and monitor quality assurance programs (NABH, JCI, ISO, etc.).

Review clinical performance and outcomes periodically.

Promote evidence-based medical practices and clinical audits.
3. Human Resource Management

Participate in recruitment, credentialing, and appraisal of medical staff.

Facilitate continuous medical education (CME) and professional development programs.

Maintain discipline, staff welfare, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
4. Legal and Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements (Clinical Establishments Act, Biomedical Waste Rules, MCI/NMC norms, etc.).

Coordinate with local health authorities, government agencies, and accreditation bodies.

Handle medico-legal cases and ensure timely reporting and documentation.
5. Patient Relations and Public Interface

Oversee patient grievance redressal and ensure patient satisfaction.

Promote public health programs, community outreach, and hospital publicity activities.

Represent the hospital at official meetings, conferences, and inspections.
6. Emergency and Crisis Management

Supervise preparedness for medical emergencies, epidemics, and disaster management.

Ensure 24/7 availability of essential services like ICU, emergency, and blood bank.
