Administrative and Operational Management

  • Oversee day-to-day hospital operations, ensuring efficient functioning of all clinical and non-clinical departments.

  • Formulate and implement hospital policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Supervise medical, nursing, and paramedical staff in coordination with respective department heads.

  • Ensure proper maintenance of hospital infrastructure, facilities, and medical equipment.

  • Participate in budget planning, cost control, and optimal resource utilization.

2. Clinical Governance and Quality Assurance

  • Ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.

  • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs (NABH, JCI, ISO, etc.).

  • Review clinical performance and outcomes periodically.

  • Promote evidence-based medical practices and clinical audits.

3. Human Resource Management

  • Participate in recruitment, credentialing, and appraisal of medical staff.

  • Facilitate continuous medical education (CME) and professional development programs.

  • Maintain discipline, staff welfare, and grievance redressal mechanisms.

4. Legal and Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements (Clinical Establishments Act, Biomedical Waste Rules, MCI/NMC norms, etc.).

  • Coordinate with local health authorities, government agencies, and accreditation bodies.

  • Handle medico-legal cases and ensure timely reporting and documentation.

5. Patient Relations and Public Interface

  • Oversee patient grievance redressal and ensure patient satisfaction.

  • Promote public health programs, community outreach, and hospital publicity activities.

  • Represent the hospital at official meetings, conferences, and inspections.

6. Emergency and Crisis Management

  • Supervise preparedness for medical emergencies, epidemics, and disaster management.

  • Ensure 24/7 availability of essential services like ICU, emergency, and blood bank.
