Job Purpose:

 

To provide clinical anesthesia services in operation theatre both routine and emergency.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. GENERAL
  • To be willing to acquire knowledge, updating skills and technology for professional competency.
  • To be willing to travel for training assignments/postings as  and when needed.
  • To interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • To comply with hospital policies such as Leave policy, Grooming standards, etc.
  • To abide to all standards related to quality control as per NABH guidelines.
  • To actively promote practices that save company resources and minimize wastage.
  • To comply with waste disposal and sterile practices of the organization.
  • To place high priority on achieving patient satisfaction.
  • To adhere to patient confidentiality, medical records management.
  • To adhere to proper immunization, vaccination and maintain hand hygiene.

 

 

 

  1. CLINICAL

Clinical Invasive Management
  1. Perform and document pre-anaesthetic check-up.
  2. Formulate anaesthetic plan of care*
  3. Obtain and document informed consent.
  4. Order appropriate investigations*.
  5. Interpret hemodynamic parameters in critically ill patients*
  6. Interpret laboratory & radiology results.
  7. Orders transfusions of blood and blood products*
  8. Order appropriate medication and other  orders *
  9. Maintenance of anaesthesia record
  10. Adherence to protocols & checklists
  1. Perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.

 
  1. Performs arterial puncture*.
  2. Inserts central venous catheter *.
  3. Performs oral endotracheal intubation.
  4. Performs nasogastric intubation.
  5. Inserts urethral catheter
  6. Administer regional anaesthesia *.
  7. Administer general anaesthesia *.

 

 

*Procedure always requires discussion or presence of Consultant and above
