  •  Provides family medicine care according to assigned patients to current best-evidence based standards, using best judgment at all times and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Establishes a therapeutic relationship with patients/families in an effort to promote compliance and shared participation in a caring environment.
  • Carries out other clinical duties as assigned by the Medical Superitendent and in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges.
  • Review patient chart and maintain record for allergies, medical problems, medications and immunization status.
  • Participates in review and planning activities relevant to family medicine services and the hospital.
  • Participates in activities and opportunities to promote the family medicine services and the hospital to the general public and wider medical community.
  • Fulfills professional requirements for continuing maintenance of competence in all aspects of family medicine.
  • Carries out other assigned duties within the appropriate scope of knowledge, skills and abilities of the position.
  • The post holder is responsible for providing comprehensive clinical consultant level patient care in family medicine.  This responsibility may be shared with other specialists/consultants in family medicine in the hospital.
  • Refer patient to medical specialist for consultant services if needed for better treatment..
