- Attend OPD patients and prescribe relevant care plan.
- Ensure accurate and complete record keeping.
- Study admitted patients’ medical history then meet with them to discuss their complaints and symptoms.
- Examination and diagnostic testing of patients.
- Make diagnosis and recommend surgery or other treatment.
- Prescribe drugs and supplements.
- Supervise or perform routine OPD procedures, noninvasive procedures minor surgical procedures independently and perform independently / assist major surgical procedure to senior consultants/director.
- Conduct academic activities like Case presentation, Seminars & journal clubs.
- Guide & supervise junior doctors to patients in emergency and night calls, carry out appropriate emergency management.
- Attend interdepartmental referrals and prescribes appropriate management plan.
- Ensure preoperative fitness of surgical patients.
- To perform under supervision, assist procedure in the following subspecialities
- Pediatric orthopedics
- Spine surgery
- Musculoskeletal oncology
- Arthroplasty.
- Sports Injuries
- To perform independently / supervise residents in , procedure in the following subspecialities
- Shoulder & Elbow surgery
- Orthopedic Trauma
- Hand Surgery
- Foot Surgery
- Pediatric Orthopedics
- Ensure implementation of postoperative care plans and recommend lifestyle changes including diet, exercise and other matters.
- Finalize and counter sign on discharges prepared by resident doctors/Clinical Associate .
- Administrative and Clinical head of the department.
- Teaching & Training for Ortho Team and all other staff.
