Job Responsibilities

To give satisfactory report of installation of new medical equipment to the concerned HOD.
To get the staff trained for using and handling the equipment.
To make schedule for preventive and routine maintenance of hospital medical equipment.
To ensure functional status, preventive and routine maintenance and calibration of the equipment.
To take daily detailed round of the hospital.
To inform about faulty equipment to the concerned company during warranty/ AMC/MC period. Also, to keep update history sheet of medical equipment during warranty/AMC/CMC period and otherwise.
Review productivity and efficiency work data for all staff and identify areas where improvement can be made to maximize staffing resources.
Meet regularly with department site supervisor/team leaders to review previous work completion data, future schedule work assignments, quality assurance issues, new equipment inspection, and any other projects or equipment support needs.
Work with department site supervisors/team leader and clinical engineers on projects related to new equipment acquisition, installation, renovation, modification, or removal. May directly oversee the progress and status of such projects.
Determine training needs for staff technicians and engineers and recommend / implement arrangement as needed to obtain necessary training, test equipment and tool needed to expand the areas of technical services provided by the department.
To plan & List the material, maintain desired inventory, send indents to central stores.
To submit consumption statement to manager material.
To coordinate with other departments of the hospital and administration to fulfil the objectives of the hospital.
To attend various hospital meetings.
To report to the HOD regarding the breakdowns and other important incidences for immediate corrective measures and to avoid recurrence.
