Patient Handling & Registration:

  • Greet and assist patients, visitors, and attendants courteously.
  • Oversee the registration of patients for consultations, diagnostics, and admissions.
  • Ensure accurate entry of patient details in the hospital information system (HIS).

Appointment Scheduling & Coordination:

  • Schedule appointments for doctors and diagnostic services.
  • Coordinate with various departments to avoid overlaps and reduce patient wait times.
  • Confirm and follow up on patient appointments.

Billing & Cash Handling:

  • Handle OPD/IPD billing, advance payments, and receipt generation.
  • Reconcile daily cash collections and hand over to accounts as per policy.
  • Ensure correct application of discounts or insurance/tie-up billing as per guidelines.

Supervision & Training:

  • Mentor and guide junior front office executives.
  • Handle escalated patient queries or service issues.
  • Train new team members on systems and SOPs.

Customer Service & Complaint Resolution:

  • Address patient grievances and ensure prompt redressal.
  • Maintain high standards of hospitality and patient satisfaction.
  • Provide information on services, doctors’ availability, and procedures.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain front desk reports, patient footfall data, and feedback logs.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital SOPs, NABH/JCI standards, and confidentiality protocols.
