  • Systemic Therapy Administration:
    Administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and other systemic treatments, while managing potential side effects and complications. 
     
  • Patient Care and Support:
    Providing emotional support, education, and guidance to patients and their families throughout the treatment process, and managing pain and palliative care needs. 
     
  • Multi-disciplinary Collaboration:
    Working closely with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care. 
     
  • Research and Clinical Trials:
    Participating in clinical trials, research studies, and quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of oncology and improve patient outcomes. 
     
  • Education and Training:
    Supervising and mentoring junior doctors, medical students, and other healthcare professionals, and staying updated on the latest advancements in cancer treatment. 
     
  • Record Keeping and Documentation:
    Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and documenting treatment plans, progress, and outcomes. 
     
  • Community Outreach:
    Participating in community outreach programs to raise awareness about cancer prevention and early detection. 
     
  • Continuing Medical Education:
    Engaging in ongoing professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in medical oncology.

  • Expertise in Cancer Biology and Pathophysiology:
    Understanding the underlying mechanisms of cancer development, progression, and metastasis. 
     
  • Knowledge of Systemic Therapies:
    In-depth knowledge of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and other systemic treatments, including their indications, mechanisms of action, and potential side effects.
