Technician

Sample Collection & Processing:

• Ensure proper collection, labelling, and processing of blood, urine, and other clinical specimens.
• Verify patient identification and maintain sample integrity from collection to analysis.

Testing & Analysis:

• Perform routine and specialized tests in:

• Hematology: CBC, ESR, peripheral smear, reticulocyte count
• Biochemistry: Liver function, renal profile, electrolytes, glucose, lipids, etc.
• Immunology & Serology: HIV, HBsAg, HCV, VDRL, Widal, RA, CRP, etc.
• Clinical Pathology: Urine analysis, stool analysis, body fluid analysis

• Operate and calibrate lab equipment like analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, and autoanalyzers.

Quality Control & Assurance:

• Conduct daily internal quality control (IQC) and participate in external quality assurance programs (EQAS).
• Ensure test results meet accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity standards.
