Ward - Coordinator
- Patient Care Coordination
- Supervise nursing staff to ensure high-quality and compassionate patient care.
- Monitor patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges on the floor.
- Ensure timely medication administration and compliance with treatment plans.
- Address patient and family concerns promptly.
- Staff Supervision & Support
- Prepare and manage daily duty rosters for floor nurses.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor staff performance.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to nursing staff.
- Operational Management
- Ensure availability of medical supplies, equipment, and consumables on the floor.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and support staff for floor hygiene and safety.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Compliance & Quality
- Ensure adherence to nursing protocols, hospital policies, and safety guidelines.
- Support accreditation requirements (NABH/JCI) through documentation and audits.
- Report incidents/near misses and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Communication & Liaison
- Act as a link between nursing staff, doctors, patients, and administration.
- Participate in floor/department meetings and share updates with the team.
- Escalate critical issues to higher authorities as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- B.Sc. Nursing / GNM (Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing preferred).
- 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of hospital standards and accreditation protocols.
